Donal's Meals in minutes by Donal Skehan

Happy 2019! I can’t say my year has gotten off to the best start as I got floored by the flu, which also means I didn’t get a chance to do any cooking yet this year, so I’m really REALLY looking forward to getting back into the kitchen this weekend and whipping up some new recipes.  I know that a lot of you will be wrecked from all the Christmas cooking, so I figured Donal Skehan’s latest book would be a perfect book tip to kick off the new year.

Donal Skehan himself of course needs no introduction, as one of Ireland’s most loved chefs his cookbooks have been flying off the shelves for years and his tv shows are well watched. I think it’s safe to say that with his move to the US and the birth of his first child with his wife Sofie, Donal’s life got turned upside down and he needed some recipes that could be whipped up quickly. And we all have times like these in our lives, where we simply don’t have the time to spend hours on our cooking – as much as we’d want to.
The book is divided in 6 different chapters from one pot, one pan to quick prep but slow cook, 6 ingredients, grocery-store suppers and under 30 minutes. Nothing new under the sun here of course, but Donal’s not trying to reinvent anything here, it’s all about providing great new recipes that are easy to make.
