Delalicious by Sinéad Delahunty
Sinéad Delahunty, better known as the blogger behind Delalicious has just released her very first cookbook! It always makes me so happy to see fellow foodbloggers release their first book as its one of my biggest dreams as well. I’ve been following Delalicious for a little over a year now myself, as her blog was recommended to me by my partner, who went to the same school as her and who’s family is from the same area as Sinéad is from: Fethard in County Tipperary!
What makes her book so special is that, with her background as a Gaelic footballer and physiotherapist in mind, her recipes will help your body get energised before a workout and helps repair it afterwards. It also features some guides to show you how to divide your meal up into carbs, proteins, fruit & veg depending on what you’ll be doing that day in terms of activity. So unlike a lot of ‘healthy, nourishing’ recipes and blogs, this cookbook is based on science and studying.
It really is a great overall book to have in your book case, clear instructions and very easy to make recipes. I made one of her courgetti recipes already (with a few tweaks as I can’t have cream) and really liked it a lot!
Sinead Delahunty has learned many life lessons on the football field. Most importantly, she has mastered how to fuel her body healthily. Now, she shares recipes that are bursting with flavour and nutritional value to keep you ready for whatever life may throw at you.
