One: Simple One-Pan Wonders – Jamie Oliver

If I ever get to choose what chef I’d like to meet in real life it’s definitely Jamie Oliver. His cooking shows and books taught me a lot and I really love his down-to-earth approach to just about anything.
I have quite the cookbook collection and some books are just full of recipes with ingredients that can’t be found easily or that cost too much to just use in 1 recipe. “One” is nothing like that at all. The first 28 page are all focused around fresh lasagna sheets with 5-7 extra ingredients ranging from garlic to lemons to smoked salmon. It really is an all-round book as well, with a veggie chapter, a chapter on batch cooking, chapters focusing on meat/fish/chicken/eggs which is the perfect combination for anyone who eats a balanced diet.
As usual, the photos are shot by legend David Loftus who is a fantastic inspiration for food photographers. Every Jamie cookbook is both an inspiration for me in terms of recipes, but also in terms of photography!
As with the last book tip, I’ll be testing 2 recipes from the book, but I can safely say it’s going to be very hard to pick what to make first as I am currently browsing through the book and am yet to find one recipe that I’m not interested in. The batch cooking chapter is quite short though, but I’m secretly hoping he might write a new book focusing on batch-cooking only as it’s a great way to save time for those with busy lives!
