Dark sweet cherry clafoutis
super easy

I recently had a craving for meatloaf with sour cherries but couldn’t find the cherries I needed. I ended up buying frozen dark sweet cherries and made the sauce myself. As I had some cherries left I decided to make dark sweet cherry clafoutis as well.
Cherry clafoutis is a really easy and quick dessert to make. You don’t need to fiddle with pastry, just mix a few ingredients and pour it over the cherries. You can of course use fresh cherries as well (if in season), but I would recommend removing the pit. I once ate a clafoutis that had the cherry pits still in it and it was just unpleasant to eat.
If you are using frozen cherries I would recommend adding a bit more flour to compensate for the juices/water that might come off the frozen ones as they are baking.
