Book tip September 2022: ONE: Simple One-Pan Wonders – Jamie OliverIt's time for a new book tip of the month and it's no surprise I went with @jamieoliver’s newest book as he's my favourite chef & cookbook author. His cooking shows and books taught me a lot and I really love his down-to-earth approach to just about anything.I have quite the cookbook collection and some books are just full of recipes with ingredients that can’t be found easily or that cost too much to just use in 1 recipe. “One” is nothing like that at all. The first 28 page are all focused around fresh lasagna sheets with 5-7 extra ingredients ranging from garlic to lemons to smoked salmon. It really is an all-round book as well, with a veggie chapter, a chapter on batch cooking, chapters focusing on meat/fish/chicken/eggs which is the perfect combination for anyone who eats a balanced diet.Want to read the entire review? This latest recipe on my blog is one I have been making all summer long as a light and delicious lunch: Tomato Tart and Tartlets with Goat Cheese and Parsley - Basil Pesto.The tomato tarts with goat cheese go very well with the parsley-basil pesto which has some pine nuts in it as well. The honey that is mixed in with the goat cheese make it a tad bit sweeter. New recipe: The Irish Breakfast burger—I love a good challenge! A couple of weeks ago, Heinz Ireland launched a competition together with Lovin.ie looking for the best homemade burger. I usually just get burgers from the butchers and don’t often make them myself. But I really wanted to give it a try so I ended up making an Irish breakfast burger. And gosh, it was EXTRAVAGANT. I could have added more ingredients but to be honest.. it was just gonna be too much. So if you want beans or hash browns it’s probably best to have them on the side. As the heatwave has ended and it's a bit of a rain

As the heatwave has ended and it's a bit of a rainy colder day today, I am really craving some warmer comfort food. Sausage rolls have always been one of my favourite snacks, ever since I was a kid. Once I learned how easy it is to make them yourself, I only ended up loving them even more as it became so easy to add all these amazing flavours. I’ve previously made a few versions already, for example one with black pudding, apple and cranberry but also plain pork sausage rolls and pork, cranberry and red onion sausage rolls.
